Lone Tree, Iowa is a small cozy community in the southeast corner of Johnson County, located just off Highway 22, in Fremont Township. It has a quiet, small town feel, but is just a short distance from the big city conveniences.

The Sheriff and Deputies are the police force for residents of the unincorporated areas of the county, and provide contracted law enforcement for the cities of Lone Tree, Hills, North Liberty, Solon, Shueyville, Swisher, Tiffin and Oxford. The Sheriff's Office handles all routine and emergency calls for these areas, and regularly patrols all areas of the county. They also provide security at special events in the county.
